Are Medicare Supplements and Medigap coverage confusing to you as you enter retirement? If you are like most Americans, the answer is yes. The questions that need to be answered are -- Do I need this type of coverage and if so, which best suits my particular needs? The initial part of this question is easily answered by saying that unless you are independently wealthy and can afford to pay the deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments not covered by Medicare, you probably need this type of coverage. The second part of this question is much more difficult due to the number of different choices you have relative to types of programs, coverage options, and cost.
For the past 20 years, I have been at the executive level in a number of Health Insurance Organizations developing Medicare programs and working with people just like you. As an administrator as well as a registered nurse, I believe that I have a unique background and understanding of the complexities of these programs and can assist you in coming to the right decision regarding your future health care needs. Unlike other organizations that offer information just on their programs, I am not associated with any specific organization and can therefore be objective in helping you determine the right program to meet your specific needs.
